We are sisters and partners in Maw-Bell Designs. We design quilts, children's clothing, and accessories and publish them in patterns and books.
We have ‘created’ together since we were kids on our parents’ farm using our cats as models for our doll clothes! We had a business together making cloth and wood dolls in the ‘80’s. After taking a break to raise our families, we started our current business, Maw-Bell Designs, about 6 years ago. ‘Creating the look’ for each book and following through with designs that fit our theme have been so much fun for us. We love all aspects of art, but especially love playing with color and fabric. We have recently trademarked the term Shabby Vintage™ which is a look we love.
Susan and her husband live in beautiful Kalispell, Montana. They have three sons and a daughter. Sally and her husband live about 150 miles away in Montana's Bitterroot Valley. They have one son and one daughter. Dallas, our younger sister, is a jewelry artist and sells her items through her company, Turquoise Rain.
We feel so fortunate to be sisters and have a wonderful time together designing, redesigning, discussing designing, etc. |
